Hand Cut Stencils
Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson
Clarion Unniversity, Spring 2013
Costume Design: Hank Bullington
Started with a photo of the actor who played Andrew Jackson, using photoshop created 4 separate color layers.
I then used a large format printer to print each layer of the face, then using an x-acto knife I hand cut each layer.
Here is another hand cut layer.
I used an airbrush to print each layer over one another on a separate piece of fabric, then cut it out and stitched it to the cape i had made.
Finished stencil and Cape.
